I simply made this map for easier display. There are maps on the CK2 Wiki that show culture groups, and description what groups use what graphical content. Like I said, this map is probably not perfect. There are some quirks with this map, especially regarding Chinese presence on the map, but I won't bother updating until the new stuff comes out.
Crusader kings 2 dlc guide 2015 Patch#
I will make a new map once the patch comes out. With the upcoming patch, there will be a massive map update, which will mess up my work. At some point between 13, with a mean-time-to-happen of 180 months, a vast horde of over 100,000 Mongol warriors united under Timur the Lame will emerge in a province at the eastern edge of the map. Chinese and Tibetan portraits are part of the Jade Dragon expansion, and are not sold separately. The title does not exist by default in the timeframe of Crusader Kings II or The Old Gods DLC, but can be created by the player or the AI. EDIT: Chinese portraits are actually on the map. Chinese culture (Han) does not appear on the map in the 1066 start date, so I've pointed their portrait pack outside the map. English and German portrait packs are bundled together with the Monks & Mystics expansion, and are not sold separately. North Indian portraits come along with the "Rajas of India" expansion, and are not available for purchase separately, or as part of a content pack. Aztec portraits point out outside the map, for ( I believe) obvious reasons. There are probably quirks with my mapping (maybe with Turkish and Cuman groups?), but the intention is to give general idea about where you can find certain portraits. I used 1066 start date for the culture map However, culture in certain Egyptian provinces is Nubian, which uses East African portraits, so I painted them accordingly. Ruling characters in Egypt are using Arabian portraits. Map doesn't show characters, but culture groups (like I said). Colors represent culture group(s) that use their dedicated portraits, and names represent DLC that covers these groups. Arabic and Western European portraits are not DLC content, and are default portraits for the game. For those who want a quick rundown of which DLCs are the most useful for Crusader Kings II, let me help with some insight after some 3k hours playing it.
